Product Validation: Training Sustainable Businesses

Challenge: Sustainability entrepreneurs on the Amazon Sustainability Accelerator needed to conduct their own qualitative product research but lacked the methodological foundation to generate reliable insights.

Approach: Workshop and 1-1 coaching programme delivered twice, teaching research fundamentals: identifying assumptions, creating testable hypotheses, and translating these into robust research objectives and interview questions for focus groups and customer interviews.

Outcomes

  • Trained 20 entrepreneurs across two cohorts

  • Entrepreneurs successfully conducted their own focus groups and customer research

  • Specific product decisions informed features, validated and go-to-market decisions

  • Equipped participants with a repeatable research methodology for ongoing product development
