Market Validation: Creative Tech

Challenge: A Creative Industries startup with a disruptive immersive experience concept needed to validate user needs and understand how different user groups would interact with their prototype to inform product development.

Approach: Innovate UK Design Foundations grant project conducting user research across target user groups to explore needs, behaviours, and prototype interactions.

Outcomes

  • Researched 3 user groups across leisure

  • 20 participants tested the prototype and provided feedback

  • Identified 9 key user needs and interaction patterns

  • Product decisions: validated features, design changes, user experience improvements

  • Business results: follow-on funding secured (Innovate UK), partnerships formed (CoSTAR), market interest (music and gaming)

  • Next phase: product development direction, pilot customers, commercial traction
