Perception Research: Organ donation and transplantation
Challenge: NHS Blood and Transplant needed to understand perceptions, attitudes, and barriers to organ donation among Polish migrants to improve donor registration and transplantation outcomes in this community.
Approach PhD research programme exploring Polish migrant perspectives on organ donation and transplantation, followed by research with clinicians and health services. Findings were disseminated through peer-reviewed journal articles, edited book chapters, and international conference presentations.
